Teller County Announces Plans for New Citizen’s Service Center in Divide

Teller County residents can look forward to improved services and community resources with the announcement of a new Citizen’s Service Center in Divide. On January 29, 2025, the Teller County Board of County Commissioners unveiled plans for this much-anticipated facility, which will streamline public services in one centralized location. The project is part of an ongoing effort to improve accessibility and efficiency for local government services in Teller County.

A One-Stop Hub for Teller County Residents

The new Citizen’s Service Center is designed to enhance the efficiency and accessibility of various government and public services. It will serve as a one-stop hub where residents can access essential resources such as:

  • County administrative offices

  • Public records and licensing services

  • Community assistance programs

  • Business and contractor services

  • Health and human services departments

With an expected opening date in late 2026 or early 2027, the project aims to make it easier for citizens to handle important matters without traveling to multiple locations across the county.

What’s Next for the Project?

Teller County is currently seeking qualification documentation from interested parties for a turnkey integrated project delivery, ensuring the center is built efficiently and to the highest standards. The Board of County Commissioners is overseeing the project, with updates expected to be provided at county commissioner meetings.

Local residents and business owners interested in contracting or bidding opportunities can find more details about the procurement process and qualifications by visiting the Teller County Procurement Department.

Why Divide?

The selection of Divide as the location for the Citizen’s Service Center is strategic. As a central hub within Teller County, Divide offers convenient access for residents from Woodland Park, Cripple Creek, Florissant, and Victor. This location will reduce travel times and create a more connected community.

For those needing transportation assistance, Teller Senior Coalition and Bustang Outrider offer transit services that will likely be able to accommodate access to the new center once it is complete.

How Can Residents Stay Updated?

Community input is essential to making the Citizen’s Service Center a success. Residents are encouraged to stay informed and participate in public discussions about the project by visiting the Teller County Government website.

As the plans take shape, Teller County looks forward to enhancing local government services, improving efficiency, and making it easier for residents to access the resources they need. Stay tuned for further updates on this exciting development!
